Community Partnership School relocated to a new campus and wanted to engage their students, teachers, and staff to envision a new play space on an existing concrete yard. We hosted a series of play workshops asking the grownups about their favorite play memories and the play memories they wanted their kids to have. We also explored the play culture of Community Partnership School and how the space could facilitate better play experiences.

We worked closely with the students to create drawings and models of what the play space could be, from ziplines to giant slides to places to be alone or play with friends. This engagement led to a final concept design that could be executed over time once funds were raised.
